You gotta love a Chinese restaurant that embraces the cliche: Tanks with those orange and white googly-eyed fish. Paper lanterns. A strict black gold and red color scheme. That's House of Chen a modest eatery situated in downtown Allentown. The idea of a bathroom where you have to be buzzed in might turn you off as could the faint smell of stale beer that hits you as you enter. But then you hit the buffet: crispy fried sweet and sour pork chicken with broccoli and snap peas - and the vegetables aren't soggy. Who can complain? There's cheap beer too.
